Home inspections have been traditionally visual inspections. This has been taken to mean visual to the human eye and readily seen.
But, just as home construction has become more technical, so has
the practice of professional home inspections.
Electric circuit analyzer, moisture meters, thermo thermometers, and UV flashlights are now commonly used for home inspections.
The newest such tool is the thermo or IR Imaging camera. Thermo imaging gives the home inspection an additional method of verifying defects suspected or found by other means. It helps find conditions that would other wises go unnoticed.
